On Sunday, September 5, a traffic accident occurred on the Causeway Bridge between 18 p.m. and 15 p.m., involving a motorcyclist who was seriously injured. Transported to the Louis-Constant Fleming hospital, the biker unfortunately died from his injuries.
Police in Sint Maarten were not made aware of the crash until later that evening, after people removed the victim and the motorcycle from the crash site. The traffic service personnel are in charge of the investigation to find out the exact reasons and causes of what happened that evening. The first elements collected by the police indicate that the biker was riding with a group of other motorcyclists during the accident.
