Signature of the Rectorate tripartite agreement - Tourist office - Community, on tourism education in college

This partnership offering schoolchildren a weekly education on tourism for 7 years now, was renewed yesterday morning by the president Daniel Gibbs, the rector of the Academy, Mostafa Fourar and the president of the Tourist Office of Saint-Martin, Valérie Damascus.

This education, introduced in 2013 on the initiative of Mrs. Evelyne Fleming, was a first in France. It has proven itself since then, and certain regions have also implemented it.

Thanks to this fruitful partnership, more than 1000 students have been trained in tourism on Saint-Martin. The agreement is renewed for a renewable period of 3 years.

President Gibbs praised this educational partnership for the benefit of our young college students who can, thanks to the courses provided, learn the history of their island and the basics of tourism.

This teaching will resume regularly from the start of the September 2020 academic year.
