The association St. Maarten Hospitality and Trade (SHTA) denounces the lack of information on the “Pearl of China” project in Belair.
The institution sent an open letter to the Council of Ministers last Friday asking the government to provide more information on this complex of 326 rooms and 450 apartments. “A project of this magnitude, having an impact on the whole island, should in addition to broad support from the community also benefit from broad political support. The only way to achieve this is through an open and transparent process, ”said the association.
