USHOM SEMINAR: Overseas housing at the heart of priorities

The First Vice-President, Alain Richardson participated, on Friday July 8, in the USHOM seminar, organized by the Social Union for Overseas Housing (USHOM) at the CCISM.

This seminar on the theme of housing is projected into the future needs of our territories in terms of housing and development.

During his speech, Alain Richardson recalled the issues of the territory which must develop while controlling the spread of construction and land consumption in a territory where land is increasingly scarce. The challenge is to control the land supply without running the risk of causing an already significant price increase.

The protection of populations from the risk of marine submersion was also addressed by Alain Richardson.

To meet the challenges of today and tomorrow, Saint-Martin must implement a genuine development and housing policy. A priority on which the new mandate is committed.
