0

Tourism linked to "birdwatching" is on the rise. Reader's Digest Canada magazine has selected the top ten tropical destinations for birdwatchers. And our island is part of their prize list, in 8th place. It is Panama which takes the 1st position, followed by Costa Rica. “You won't need your binoculars to spot Saint Martin's national bird: the brown pelican. It can be seen on every beach ”, we can read on their site. As a reminder, the bird observatory of the pond of Chevrise is open to the public. “This pond holds the palm of birdwatching in terms of density, since you can observe more than 1000 birds in just a quarter of an hour!”, Indicates the Nature Reserve.21
