As part of mathematics week, students participate in the operation called "Run to Paris" launched in mid-February. The first round, which took place last Tuesday in Marigot, was very successful.

“Run to Paris” is a virtual race - set up by the Northern Islands education service and the steering committee - linking Saint-Martin to Paris, which is part of the week of mathematics, whose coup d 'dispatch will take place on March 14th. On the Vanterpool stadium, the excitement was indeed there! Three schools participated in this very first round: Emile Choisy, Nina Duverly and Hervé Williams, for a total of 14 classes. The 277 students thus covered 1180 km. “In the current context, it is a pleasure to see the youth of Saint-Martin in action and in solidarity for a common objective: to complete the 6726 km together. I salute the commitment of teachers and school principals who have agreed to participate with their students in this collective challenge which highlights civic values, ”says Jean-Luc Elice, educational advisor, USEP mission. The next races are scheduled for next Tuesday.
