In May, the prefecture's services organized a first cycle of consultation with the population in the neighborhoods as part of the review of the natural risk prevention plan. Four meetings were held during which the main principles of the revision were presented.
The second cycle was to start immediately but during the first meeting those present expressed their disappointment at not being able to discover the new zoning and the new by-law. They suggested to the prefect to move forward in the preparation of documents and subsequently convene the population to present the work to him.
After reflection, the prefect gave a favorable response to the requests. "I decided to delay public meetings for four weeks in order to be able to work on the map of the issues and the draft regulation", he confided.
The second cycle of meetings resumes this evening in Grand Case.
