Publi-reportage: "Island Spirits NV" official distributor of the famous brand of Cognac Martell!

0

Founded in 1715, during the reign of Louis XIV, by Jean Martell, it is today the oldest of the great Cognac Houses. A legendary house which, over the generations, perpetuates the centuries-old know-how of wine-growers, distillers, coopers and remarkable cellars masters.

Did you say good news? The famous brand of cognac is indeed back in Saint-Martin after having been absent for many years. “When the opportunity arose to exhibit the world's greatest heritage of cognac on one of dancehall's greatest symbols, with a two-decade legacy, we knew it was going to be historic,” says Tashiann Brown , responsible for the Martell brand. “After all, 'it's only a party' with 'Martell'.

Martell is one of the oldest cognacs in the world and, as a result, takes pride in its daring heritage and collaborates with icons and cultural legends such as Bounty Killer.

Tashiann Brown also specifies that through their distributors Island Spirits, Martell will present in Saint-Martin the Martell VSSD (very special single distillery) and the Martell Blue Swift - Spirit liqueur (Martell VSOP aging in bourbon barrels).

A little history…

Symbol of refinement and the French art of living, Martell is the oldest of the great cognac houses. Founded by the Englishman Jean Martell in 1715, the Martell house contributes to developing the reputation of the Cognac region by rapidly exporting to the United Kingdom and Asia.

In the 1900s, Martell shared his space with kings and queens around the world. In 1911, Martell cognac was served during the coronation of King George V of England. In 1956, Martell Extra invited himself to the gala dinner celebrating the marriage of Prince Rainier of Monaco with the American star Grace Kelly. The following year, Martell Cordon Bleu was served at a reception given at the Louvre by the French President in honor of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of her first official visit to France. In 1971, the Martell Cordon Bleu was presented to Emperor Hirohito of Japan during his state visit to France.

Before 2017, Martell explores new areas of aging know-how and pays homage to its historic ties with the United States with the launch of Martell Blue Swift, a VSOP aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels.

And now, in 2019, Martell arrives in the beautiful and friendly island of Saint-Martin under the distribution of Island Spirits.

We are excited to see how the brand will be perceived in Sint-Maarten with the opportunities offered to it to increase its distribution!

From you to me, success will be there!
