Cleaning and water problems in Grand-Case schools: Parents of students protest over the lack of hygienic conditions

0

After the discontent of the parents of students from the Sandy Ground nursery school, it is those of Grand-Case who in turn denounce the poor hygienic conditions in several educational establishments.

"For a week, cleaning has not been done in the toilets" at the Ghislaine Rogers nursery school, they say.

Indeed, the cleaning service is no longer provided by the private company mandated by the COM to do it within this establishment. "She would not have been paid and therefore no longer wants to intervene," we were told.

COM confirms a delay in payment due to a technical problem on the contract; " the community  is aware of the situation and makes every effort  to quickly find a solution. "

Still in Grand Case, but this time, "in primary school, some toilets cannot be used because there is no water," said another parent. This problem dates back to before the Christmas holidays. On Thursday, December 19 after the blockages, the management had taken the initiative not to reopen the Elie Gibs school because of this problem. The following poster was posted at the entrance: “no reception of students. No toilets. No water. 1 WC for 300 students ”.

At the start of the Christmas holidays, the welcome was assured but "in complicated conditions" comments a parent.

In primary school, the problem is different: plumbing work must indeed be carried out. The deal has been made, the materials have been ordered.
