In her speech, the President warmly thanked Mr. Dolgez for having known how to put his human qualities at the service of the Collectivity, elected officials and the population. Aline Hanson of course mentioned some key issues of their collaboration including the preparation of the visit of the President of the Republic François Hollande, Hurricane Gonzalo, the opening of the slaughterhouse and the launch of the school city. As for the Prefect Anne Laubies, she retraced her “atypical and astonishing” career. After a teaching at the regional institute of administration of Lille, Matthieu Dolurez carried on many responsibilities in particular as head of the administrative services at the regional direction of general information in Lille, clerk of chamber at the administrative court of appeal of Douai and assistant to the head of the administrative and technical department of the national police in Nouméa. In Saint-Martin, as chief of staff, "he greatly contributed to the establishment of bodies for the coordination and monitoring of public policies in the fight against delinquency", underlined the prefect. "He has invested a lot in regional cooperation as secretary general (...) it is an essential element of both development and living together for both parts of the island," she added. In his speech, Matthieu Dolurez thanked the prefects with whom he worked, the agents of the prefecture, the elected officials, the teams of the two communities, the representatives of the economic world and the population. As part of his mandate, he explained that he had "understood all the facets of state action", qualifying this experience as "a real privilege". At Gap, Mr Dolurez will take on the post of director of cabinet services.
