POLICY: How much did the candidates spend in the 2017 elections?

The National Commission for Campaign Accounts and Political Financing (CNCCFP) published the campaign accounts for the March 2017 elections in Saint Martin in August.

The authorized spending limit for the Saint-Martin territorial elections in March 2017 was 24 euros for each round. In the first round, the candidates who spent the most were Daniel Gibbs (288 euros), Alain Richardson (23 euros) and Jules Charville (175 euros); those who spent the least were Aline Hanson (€ 21), Julien Gumbs (€ 597) and Horace Whit (€ 20); Louis Mussington and Jeanne Vanterpool spent 635 euros and 6 euros respectively.

In the second round, Daniel Gibbs spent 22 euros and Louis Mussington 535 euros.
