Opening of a new Stimulation Center for disabled children!

Specialist educator, Cloé Robert arrived on the island from an early childhood. A graduate today of a specialized education technique from Canada, she has just opened an establishment for children living with disabilities in Saint-Martin.

"Thanks to the opening of this new room, I would like to be able to provide educational and social support to enable young children to study and develop in a school structure," she underlines. The island is sorely lacking in resources for disabled children and although associations do their utmost, no similar structure is present in Saint-Martin. Young children with a disability are often neglected by a lack of means. In short, they are not developing as they should. This is why today I am offering a two-stage stimulation center: The first, these children who are experiencing a lot of difficulties will find themselves in a school class. All this within the framework of a real school in order to integrate and socialize them. Secondly, a stimulation center will be open in the afternoons to carry out individualized and targeted sessions to allow children to stimulate themselves while having fun ”.

The Center is called "L'Éveil en Couleur", it is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 13 p.m. and from 14 p.m. to 17 p.m. The center is located in the school "Le Jardin des Pitchouns" 67 rue de la Colline in Mont-Vernon 1.Phone number: 06 90 88 83 20. _AF
