The “World Creole Music Festival 2019” (WCMF) celebrates the culture of the Creole-speaking countries of the Caribbean, Europe and Africa and is organized every year in October. The WCMF offers different musical genres, such as reggae, zouk, kompas, cadence, bouyon, salsa, dancehall, hip hop, or even merengue, soukous and zydeco.
Icons of Creole music, such as the unmissable Dominican singer Ophelia, nicknamed "The Lady of Song", who is celebrating her 40-year career with flagship titles such as "Aye Dominik" or the unmissable "Love Song" , written by Gordon Henderson, frontman of legendary band Exile One, will perform on Saturday, October 26. The stage of this 21st edition of the “World Creole Music Festival 2019” will also welcome the legend of reggae dancehall, Buju Banton, Bunji and Fay-Ann Lyons, the Zouk All Stars, Extasy Band and Triple Kay.
