On Saturday January 30, at 21 p.m., several operations of the Territorial Anti-Fraud Operational Committee were carried out at the request of the Public Prosecutor.

About thirty staff from the departments of the Prefecture, the National Gendarmerie, the Border Police and the territorial unit of the Food, Agriculture and Forestry Department were mobilized on two drinking establishments in Grand-Case and Quartier d ' Orleans.

Several breaches of labor legislation, town planning declarations and regulations relating to drinking establishments were noted. One of the establishments was also the subject of an immediate closure of its kitchen for health reasons.

Administrative and legal proceedings will be carried out for all the breaches noted.

At the same time, administrative closure procedures against one of the controlled establishments and a neighboring beverage outlet will be launched.

The two structures presented significant breaches of the sanitary rules currently in force, in particular the absence of masks for customers and employees.

  The Prefecture recalls that as part of the fight against Covid-19, all restaurants and bars must:

• check that the mask is worn, both for customers and employees;

• make sure clients are seated;

• enforce the maximum number of 6 people around the same table;

• enforce social distancing within their establishment and respect for barrier gestures;

• ensure the distribution of hydroalcoholic gel or provide soap and water.
