The Collectivity of Saint-Martin organized, last Saturday, a big sports day for the technical reopening of the thelbert Carti stadium in Quartier d'Orléans. Football and rugby players of all age categories have succeeded each other on the field, to the delight of the crowd who came to encourage them.

After four months of work, the Thelbert Carti stadium reopened on Saturday, October 22. It was through a sports day, punctuated by football and rugby matches, that the Collectivity chose to formalize this return to the activity of the Orleans stadium.

The Collectivity of Saint-Martin financed on an equal basis with the state these rehabilitation works (€ 698 on the State-COM development contract) which are an integral part of the program for the renovation of local sports infrastructures, launched in 805 by President Aline Hanson and the delegated advisor to sport, Alain Gros-Désormeaux.

The sports field has been equipped with a latest generation synthetic lawn, its changing rooms have been renovated (paint, electricity, equipment, lighting), and the enclosure fence has been completely rehabilitated.

The Quartier d'Orléans stadium is now up to technical and safety standards; it offers duly registered associations a functional tool with the best equipment and can host interregional competitions. _AF
