With 400 events already labeled and integrated into the national program, the Festival of the Sea and the Coastlines promises to be celebrated in due form. The Metimer association, to which we owe its legendary Fête de la Mer, unfortunately could not be added to the agenda due to the health crisis. It is nonetheless useful to recall the objectives and themes of the Fête de la Mer et des coasts, some of which resonate with actions already implemented on the island, with, among other things, clean beach operations, the discovery of the trail. of the coast, support for lifeguards at sea (SNSM), awareness of seafaring trades and of course, the discovery of marine cultural heritage and water sports. We could have counted a good number of events in direct connection with this directional line but atypical sanitary situation obliges, only one event will give pride of place to this beautiful celebration, the special 100% foil regatta overseen by the Wind Adventures club and which will take possession of the waters of Orient Bay for a show in the wind. Not to mention the free wingfoil flying lessons! Kitefoil, windfoil, wingfoil, there will be something for everyone.
