SWIMMING: Nice harvest of medals for the swimmers of the Carib Swim Team in Guadeloupe!

Always on top ! The Carib Swim Team once again distinguished itself on the occasion of the 2nd Regional Meeting of Guadeloupe organized on March 5 and 6 at the intercommunal swimming pool of Les Abymes (50-meter pool). In total, thirty-seven medals gleaned! Who says better ?

Thirteen representatives of the "Carib Swim Team" club took part in the Meeting bringing together the best hopes of swimming in the Caribbean.

Only 11 years old, Aurélie Désir will inevitably keep a special memory of her trip to Guadeloupe. The young swimmer from the “Carib Swim Team” had the opportunity to take part in her first international competition. An experience that will necessarily benefit him for his next upcoming deadlines!  

For his part, Quentin Guyenot (14) set new standard BB times.

Simon Creusot (11 years old) confirmed his full potential by finishing 1st in his category after five contested races. A nod also to Simon's sister, Louise, who improved all her performances over the weekend. Congratulations to the Creusot family! 

Congratulations also to Saphir Thomas (13 years old) who recently joined the Carib Swim Team club and won 1st place in the 12-19 years old category on the 200, 400 and 800 crawl. 

Finally, Matias Piazza (14 years old) and Joey Schvartz-Arnaud (12 years old) achieve AAA level performances with for Joey, a qualifying time in the 400 medley for the French Championships which will take place this summer in Pau!

The Meeting Régional de Guadeloupe was the last opportunity for swimmers to get their ticket to the Caribbean Games (CARIFTA Games) which will take place next month in Barbados. 

Saint-Martin on the French side will be represented by Matias, Joey, Saphir and Sasha Gibbs who, together, will proudly display the colors of the island on Barbadian soil! _AF
