The pupils of the Jean Rostand school are hunting for waste!

During their weekly swimming lessons, the pupils of the CM2 class of the Jean ROSTAND school were able to observe how polluted the site of Galisbay beach and its surroundings were.

A campaign to raise awareness of environmental protection and respect for the cleanliness of beaches was therefore initiated last week.

They thus decided, between two lengths, to pick up all that was possible by changing their swimming attire to that of students-eco-citizens.

After several hours, the children show their harvest. Sad result: many bags are full of all kinds of rubbish!

Their judgment is final. "It is not done to throw objects in nature" exclaims one of them.

It's a Prévert-style inventory: pieces of foam, plastic bottles, cans, lighters, polystyrene tray, tires… the list goes on and on!

In view of all their collection, and realizing the magnitude of the amount of waste, they wondered if this activity would not become so weekly ...

Congratulations on their eco-citizen gesture! AF
