As of June 30, all living quarters must be equipped with smoke detectors. This measure was adopted by the elected representatives of the last Territorial Council. The detector, bearing the CE marking, must in particular emit an alarm signal with a sound level of at least 85 dB (A) at 3 meters. This obligation aims to reduce the number of deaths linked to domestic incidents. In mainland France, these detectors have been mandatory since March 8. According to the government, “every two minutes a fire breaks out in France. Their number has doubled in twenty years ”.
