Last Wednesday, the Delegate Prefect of the Northern Islands, Vincent Berton and the President of the Collectivity, Louis Mussington made several field visits to the various districts of the territory.

Early in the morning, Louis Mussignton went to the deconstruction site of the former Concordia media library. He was accompanied by the Delegate Prefect of the Northern Islands, Vincent Berton, Senator Annick Pétrus and the operational teams in charge of the site.

Eventually, the building will be rehabilitated into a Cultural Centre, equipped with an anticyclonic shelter in the basement.

This project led by the Collectivity makes it possible to mobilize professional integration clauses in the context of public contracts.

Louis Mussington then went to Sandy-Ground with the prefect Vincent Berton and the councilor Martine Beldor, within the framework of the follow-up of the City Policy.

The president and the prefect stopped at the Maison France Services to meet the staff, before speaking with the members of the “Nature is the key” association. Both were able to discover the multiple activities offered by the association as well as the various infrastructures intended to welcome the young public who go there. The association "Nature is the key" has been supported in particular by the City Policy, the Fondation de France and the Compagnons Bâtisseurs.

Louis Mussington and Vincent Berton also visited the location of the learning pool (swimming) envisaged as part of the future Sandy-Ground sports complex.

The visit ended with the meeting of the representatives of the district council n°4. A constructive exchange through an open discussion on the needs of the neighborhood.
