On October 17 of each year, the Manteau de Saint-Martin meets to demonstrate the strong bonds of solidarity between people living in poverty and people from all walks of life.
“We also come together to (re) affirm our will to work together to overcome extreme poverty and human rights abuses through our commitments and our individual and collective actions. Our commitment is to honor the human dignity of people living in poverty and to fight to put an end to the discrimination, humiliation and social exclusion from which they suffer ”, underlines an official of the Manteau de Saint-Martin. In order to fight together against exclusion and poverty, the Saint Martin Coat Association is organizing a conference with Dr Cissaco on the theme of Precarity and mental health. Information stands will be offered by different associations. In the early afternoon, a clown will entertain those present. A sale of cakes, pies and drinks will also be planned for this day under the sign of sharing. _AF
