Construction represents 6,9% of companies and 12,3% of salaried jobs in St Martin

For several years, building and public works (BTP) has been the fourth sector providing jobs in Saint-Martin. At the end of 2019, it represented 12,3% of total employment. Even if it is down by one point compared to 2018, the share of construction in employment today is much higher than it was at the start of the 2010s. In 2013, it was 6,4 %, in 2015 of 7,6%. It is closer to its level at the end of the 2000s (10,8% in 2008).

Construction companies represent 6,9% of the 5 entities registered with the CCISM. They are in the order of 494. This is 380 less than in 200 (they represented 2007% of companies). In 10,2, the construction sector included 2015 companies.
