It is this Saturday, March 11, 2017 that will be held the 5th edition of Saint-Martinoise, 100% female race and walk, organized by the Avenir Sportif club de Saint-Martin.
Initiated in 2013, this race met with great success from the start with the women of the island, to be one of the expected sporting events of the year.
The concept has not changed: whatever the level, the objective of the Avenir Sportif Club is to celebrate women sportingly, to move, to have fun. To allow women, while having fun to take up a challenge: that of completing the 5 km of the course, at their own pace.
The program remains
the same :
- Collective warm-up with Caroline from SXM Fitness at 15:30 p.m.
- Individual race (2 categories under 40 (Misses) and over 40 (Ladies),
- Mother / daughter team race, the principle was that the average of the 2 mother and daughter times is done and that it is not necessary to run together.
- Market.
After a few well-deserved stretches, it's time to party with Zumba from 17 p.m. and a large raffle with around twenty prizes to be won.
The awards ceremony will take place around 18 p.m.
The route will be as follows: Departure from the seafront (opposite the Mini Club) - Roundabout of the cemetery - Roundabout of the Tourist Office - Marigot - Low Town - Rond point de Bellevue - Saint-James - Rond point d'Agrément - Galisbay - Maritime station - Sea front.
A water supply is planned in front of Nina Duverly school.
Registration for La Saint Martinoise will take place at the Sportech store in Bellevue, Friday March 10, 2017 from 14 p.m. to 18 p.m., and Saturday March 11, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 13 p.m. The participation is 10 € / 10 $ and a medical certificate of no contra indication for the running will be required for the runners. _AF
