At the Saint-Leu spot, a man in his forties was injured in the arm by a shark while he was surfing in the middle of the day. The victim is a "regular surfer", according to lifeguards (MNS) in the area. The prefecture recalled that this attack, the 18th since 2011, took place on a site where water activities are prohibited by decree.
