The President of the Collectivity, signed on Thursday, June 18, three agreements with Olivier Pelvoizin, regional director of Pôle Emploi, in favor of training job seekers.

First, the Collectivity and Pôle Emploi have renewed the bilateral agreement within the framework of the Ultramarine Pact for Investment in Skills (PIC). Since the beginning of the year, 200 people have benefited from training under the PIC. Through this joint approach with training stakeholders and Pôle Emploi, the Collectivity undertakes to initiate new levers for acquiring skills, to remove the obstacles to access to training and to enable job seekers, in especially young people, to improve and obtain a diploma.

As part of this agreement, and under the aegis of Vice-President Annick Pétrus, the community works in close collaboration with local businesses to target their needs and set up suitable qualifying training. The aim of this partnership is to collectively fight unemployment among unskilled job seekers.

The agreement relating to the sharing of the OUIFORM tool has also been signed, it is an essential lever of the Ultramarine Pact for Investment in Skills which allows working in synergy and in real time to position job seekers on training courses to which they are eligible.

A third framework agreement now links the Collectivity of Saint-Martin and Pôle Emploi to facilitate the deployment of training systems in Saint-Martin. It helps to set up individual training support systems, to set up collective training, by promoting access to tools for assessing professional skills. People wishing to benefit from this support and register for qualifying training in the field of construction and the blue economy are invited to contact Pôle Emploi Saint-Martin.

These three conventions help to bring the action of the Collectivity and Pôle Emploi closer to local realities and the needs of our fellow citizens.

The sum of 5.5 million euros will be invested in the framework of this bilateral partnership in favor of strengthening vocational training in the territory of Saint-Martin. A strong act carried out by the Collectivity and Pôle Emploi for the benefit of the population of Saint-Martin.
