The Collectivity brings civil action against Semsamar

0

During the Territorial Council of last Thursday, the Collectivity voted in favor of the deliberation allowing it to constitute civil party against Semsamar

Marie-Paule Romana, the current director general of the Sem, is indicted for illegal taking of interest. Being a civil party will allow the Collectivity to have access to the elements of the criminal file. It is a matter of taking a precautionary measure which ensures the transparency of the trial and not of dissociating oneself from Semsamar. However, as the Sem is 51% owned by the Collectivity, many elected officials are also shareholders and left voluntarily during the vote, so as not to influence the decision. Thus, the president of Semsamar Wendel Cocks and the deputy Daniel Gibbs left the room. President Aline Hanson is therefore a civil party on behalf of the Collectivity. _HM
