On Tuesday, May 10, 2016, Patrick Lescuyer, aged 36, was discovered murdered with two bullets in the head in his vehicle near the beach in Cul de Sac. Two months later, on Wednesday July 13, her mother, 67, Françoise Lescuyer was shot three times in the parking lot of a supermarket in Hope Estate.

A judicial investigation had been opened and the investigations, carried out by the research section of Saint-Martin had made it possible to identify two individuals, the sponsor (P.) and the shooter.

The two men were arrested on October 20, 2016. Their trial took place in 2019 before the Assize Court of Guadeloupe, the executor received a 20-year prison sentence and P. from prison to perpetuity. The latter had appealed and he was retried on December 6, 7 and 8 in Guadeloupe. At the bar, he pleaded guilty and apologized to the families of the victims. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

The gendarmerie investigation had revealed a neighborhood conflict between Françoise Lescuyer and P. The latter had erected a wall that did not comply with the co-ownership regulations and Françoise Lescuyer as a voluntary property manager had obtained from justice the destruction of the work under penalty. The desire to liquidate the penalty had further aggravated the situation, prompting P to want to kill her neighbor. He then contacted one of his acquaintances likely to commit the murder. However, in order not to arouse suspicion - the tensions were known to all - he gave the order to execute his neighbor's son first.

P. is now 63 years old and is imprisoned in Guadeloupe, no security sentence has been pronounced. As for the author of the shootings, he is serving his sentence in France.
