The first edition of the “SXM International Checkers Tournament” started on Monday July 11th and ended with the grand final on July 14th.
Created in 2019, the Good Vibes Only association works on a daily basis to fight against the isolation of the elderly, actively participates in cleaning up neighborhoods and keeping them clean, offers activities to improve the quality of life of residents in a friendly environment, and finally, organizes competitions of strategy games… including the legendary game of drafts! Although the first tournament in the senior category, it is open to all players aged 19 or over. For four days, participants will compete at Ray's (rue St. James in Marigot) until the final on July 14, an important day in more than one way. The three finalists of the Saint-Martin tournament will leave with nice prizes, and the spectators will want to bring out the game boxes! _VX
