Temporary work: strong growth in 2016

A report on temporary work in Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands in 2016 was carried out by the regional directorate for companies, competition, consumption, work and employment (DIECCTE) of Guadeloupe. Temporary work experienced a 33,1% increase in its activity, corresponding to 1.299 Full Time Employment Equivalent (EETP). Regional management indicates that "the number of contracts signed has nevertheless increased faster than the volume of activity: 38.448 contracts, + 58,0%". Trade is growing strongly and recorded “a particularly dynamic increase in temporary work (+ 112,8%) and contracts signed during the year (+ 122,1%)”. However, temporary work remains infrequent in Guadeloupe and the Drom. _EH
