On the occasion of the visit to Saint-Martin of Mr. Frédéric PICHONNAT, Overseas Director of the Red Cross, and in the presence of Mrs. Ketty KARAM-FISCHER, President of the newly elected Territorial Delegation of Saint-Martin, will take place this Thursday 12 December at 10 am, the inauguration of the Day Reception Center located at the Maison Croix-Rouge in Concordia
The Day Reception Center is a space that allows free access to anyone wandering around and looking for social ties.
This system complements mobile activities: daytime social raids carried out by the mobile social intervention team and, nightly by volunteers from the Territorial Delegation of Saint-Martin. Its objective is to preserve social integration and promote the return to autonomy of vulnerable people.
In Saint-Martin, we provide people with: a cloakroom, a laundry, two shower rooms with mirrors, sanitary facilities, one of which is accessible to people with reduced mobility, a kitchen area, a reading corner, etc.
The LAJ is also a place equipped with computer equipment. We therefore offer entertainment and social support to facilitate the process of social integration.
This place, managed by volunteers from the Territorial Delegation of the French Red Cross in Saint-Martin, is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Every last Saturday of the month, a breakfast is offered to beneficiaries by the Lion's Club
