OUT OF THE QUESTION

Yes! Out of the question # 1- That you won't be invited to the HeadMade Factory exhibit / debate and # 2 - That you don't come!

In its Bellevue premises, SM'ART FAXinfo: a new exhibition space in St Martin, will open its doors for the first time

with the exhibition = OUT OF QUESTION

December 14 must be the date for the awards of the drawing competition organized by HeadMade Factory.

However, it is clear that this competition only attracted 2 children and no adults.

After a period of questioning of this project supported by our institutions (COLLECTIVITE DE ST MARTIN, DJSCS, DAC de GUADELOUPE) HMF cannot give up. It would be too easy!

OUT OF QUESTION that the children who participated could not be rewarded. It is out of the question to give way to the disappointment that generates inaction.

So OUT OF QUESTION to cancel the appointment of December 14.

Yes ! Out of the question, because for many years HMF members have been offering quality exhibitions, with a selection of emerging and confirmed professional artists, whether or not from St Martin.

Yes ! Out of the question because these artists need everyone as much as they need to express their relationship to the world in their artistic practice. Yes, they need you too to have a good evening during the opening, but not only! On December 14, come and take the time to look at and then buy their works to adorn on the walls of your homes, hotels, restaurants, commercial premises. Ladies and gentlemen operate the art economy locally, especially at this time when everything is still under reconstruction in St Martin. It's time !!! We all need art.

But also out of the question that the profession of visual arts artist is not seen and understood for what it has to show and sell. A visual artist cannot work for free. If the prices for works sometimes seem high to you, HMF understands that not everyone wants to invest in a work but no longer ask an artist to work as a volunteer for a good cause… because his cause? Who values it financially?

Out of the question, because for many years the HMF members have heard that there is no Culture in St Martin! But basically, it is not because St Martin does not offer the mediatized atmosphere of exhibitions, shows and others ... of big cities that we have to forget what the Culture of a territory is. “… A sphere where society expresses its relationship to the world, its originality, analyzes itself and projects its future. The cornerstone on which the organization and functioning of society are based, culture determines the style and content of economic and social development. " Francisco Almeida.

Out?What about the days devoted to the culinary arts, plays, the many groups of musicians and dancers who build the cultural identity of this territory? And this on both sides of the island? YES There is no question of posing attentively as a judge! Because there is still, above all, a lot to do! Alons: come and participate freely in the debate, but join us also (re) discover and buy the works of your artists - from and to - St Martin?

They exhibit in St Martin but also in Guadeloupe, Martinique, Africa, France. They are professionals in the Visual Arts profession.
