Unlimited strike: three unions deny signing notice

0

Thursday was announced the filing of an unlimited general strike notice on Saint-Martin from April 11.

The letter mentioned seven trade unions and a collective: SUD PTT GWA, FO, UNSA, FSU, SPEG, CGTG, UGTG as well as Soualiga United.

However, three unions denied having signed the appeal, these are the CGTG, Unsa, and FO.

"Any call to strike goes through consultation through its bodies and especially not the agreement of its mandates by a vote and especially by preparation," she said. However, "at no time did we bring together our comrades from Saint-Martin to discuss a fortiori to confirm a possible participation or not in the strike of April 11, 2019", specifies the CGTG of Guadeloupe which therefore does not call for the strike.

The secretary general of FO Guadeloupe specified for his part that "the comrades of Saint-Martin have decided not to sign the notice of strike".

On the other hand, the others confirmed their support in the organization of the movement.
