“Get Ready With Me”: a mobile risk reduction device

0

Friday, January 11 during his second visit to the island, Christophe Combe, director general of the French Red Cross, officially launched the first mobile risk reduction device at Howell Center.

"Risk prevention is a priority for the French Red Cross on all of its sites in France and internationally," he said. Entitled "Get Ready with me", this program aims to carry out awareness-raising and preventive actions with the general public in the Northern Islands which will take place during events for the general public and through proximity sessions. The objective is to strengthen the inhabitants' preparedness and response capacities in the face of natural disasters and surrounding dangers.

In addition to preparing the population for natural disasters, “Get Ready with me” emphasizes the vector control (zika, dengue, chikungunya…) but also road risks and prevention for users of two-wheeled motorized vehicles.

Companies, schools, administrations, associations who wish to take advantage of these animations of the mobile device can make a request to: dmprr.antilles@croix-rouge.fr.
