In accordance with the Epidemiological Review carried out on January 16, the Monitoring Committee or Expert Committee met to analyze the situation in Saint-Martin and assessed that it, on the basis of the latest epidemiological data, was likely to justify a transition from the territory to phase 3 "Epidemic" of the Surveillance, Alert and Management of Epidemics Plan (PSAGE).

This proposal is in line with all the measures taken by the Health Agency since the start of the viral circulation of dengue fever in the territory of Saint-Martin: anti-vector actions (controls of residential areas, destruction of breeding grounds, processing of reports, protection of tanks and supplies of larvivorous fish), press releases reminding us of mosquito prevention measures around homes, etc.

On the basis of the evaluation of the Monitoring Committee, a Management Committee, chaired by the Prefecture, will meet on January 29 in Saint-Martin, in the presence of the Director General of the Health Agency, with the objective of validating the actions required, of mobilizing all the active forces concerned, of considering additional measures to those already implemented at present (development of communication actions, etc.) and of considering the need for a transition to the epidemic phase .

To watch very closely ... _AF
