GENDARMERIE: A new brigade in Grand-Case could see the light of day

"Rethinking the model of gendarmerie in Saint-Martin, rebalancing the occupation", such is the thinking of Lieutenant Colonel Sébastien Manzoni in charge of the command of the company of Saint-Martin.

This includes two brigades, one in Quartier d'Orléans and the other in Marigot (Concordia), but this operation no longer satisfies in terms of organization. Lieutenant-Colonel Manzoni therefore submitted to his hierarchy to create a new brigade at Grand Case.

"This would allow us to be better present in Grand Case, Orient Bay, Cul de Sac, Hope Estate," he explains. The question then arises of the future of the Quartier d'Orléans brigade. “Should we keep it?” Wonders the lieutenant colonel. Or just create an "outpost" or local brigade with a permanent general public assured. This would be complemented by that of the territorial police according to the project of the president of the COM, Daniel Gibbs, to create a local brigade in Quartier. The same collaboration is envisaged at Sandy Ground. (More details on www.soualigapost.com)
