Nine teams participated last Saturday at the Jean-Louis Vanterpool stadium in the 2rd edition of the U11 tournament organized by Saint-Louis Stars. An event that saw the victory of Junior Stars at the expense of Juventus Saint-Martin on penalties.
Before getting to the heart of the matter, it is fitting to congratulate Jean-Marc Hon, manager of the Saint-Louis Stars football school and the club's volunteer team who worked to ensure the smooth running of the tournament.
This 2nd edition therefore brought together nine teams, six from the French side and three from the Dutch side: Saint-Louis Stars, Junior Stars (1 and 2), United Stars, Juventus de Saint-Martin, Attackers, Risc Takers, Eagles and Hott Sturs.
All the meetings (1 x 15 minutes) took place in a good state of mind with players more than motivated by the idea of brandishing the famous trophy so coveted!

In terms of results, the final opposed Junior Stars (1) to Juventus de Saint-Martin. After a score of parity at the end of regulation time (1-1), it was necessary to decide between the two teams during the fateful shootout. And it is ultimately the Junior Stars players who have shown themselves to be the most skillful in this exercise.
The “Whites and Reds” could let their joy explode at the final whistle in front of their supporters!
In the opposing camp, we looked rather gloomy. The opportunity for the coach of the “Whites and Blacks” to send a message of comfort to his young players. “Even if the penalty shoot-out didn't work in your favor, you can be proud of yourself! A defeat is always complicated to digest, but it is also by falling that we learn to get up. It is in difficulty that one builds a character. Now you have to roll up your sleeves and go back to training to work even harder ”.
After their legitimate disappointment, the players of “Juve” celebrated their fine second place as they should during the awards ceremony. And what to say about Junior Stars except that the party was at the height of their brilliant success!
For the record, the "Eagles" team won third place in the tournament at the expense of Saint-Louis Stars.
