The Real Madrid star, winner of the Champions League and the Euro with Portugal, won the trophy for best player of the year at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai on Tuesday.
Real Madrid star striker Cristiano Ronaldo will soon run out of space in the trophy cabinet. He won a new one this season at the 7rd edition of the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, Tuesday. Named best player of the year after his victories in the Euro and in the Champions League, the recent winner of a fourth Ballon d'Or thanked in a short video explaining that 2016 “was probably (his) best year until 'now".

Portugal coach Euro 2016 winner Fernando Santos was named best coach of 2016 after leading Portugal to the European title, the first in the country's history. Real Madrid won the club of the year title. Unai Emery, the PSG coach currently in difficulty, was also awarded for his third European title won with Seville in the Europa League. Finally, the Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto'o was rewarded for his entire career. _AF
