Saint-Martin ready for the 2021 Concordia Cup

This competition in team and individual match play, sees golfers from the French side compete against each other from the Dutch side during the weekend of November 11, the feast day of Saint-Martin / Sint Maarten and of the Treaty of Concordia.

This year the competition takes place this weekend, November 20 and 21. Since 2010, the trophy awarded to the winner has been called “The Jason Nyuiadzi Trophy”.

This Saturday at 8 a.m. the players will shoot gun on the green fairways of Mullet Bay, for the 4-ball formula: on each hole we take the best score of the 2 players of each team who each play their ball.

Then it will be time for a quick snack style lunch before leaving around 12:30 pm for another “18 holes” in “foursome” formula: the 2 players hit the same ball alternately until the end of the hole.

The next day, Sunday, will be the match-play ”with 12 individual games in which the Tamarins generally shine.

The results will be known on Sunday evening and will be published in our columns next Tuesday.

Let us wish Saint-Martin to keep the Trophy that it won in the 2 previous editions (2019 and 2020). Olllléé! _AH
