On the decision of the Deputy Prefect of the Northern Islands, Serge Gouteyron, two decrees were issued to authorize the opening of all shops in Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin, on Sundays 20 and 27 December 2020 during the end of year holiday season.
This provision aims to support retail businesses in the context of the current health crisis, to limit the impact of the period of confinement on the territory's economy and to promote the maintenance of employment in the Northern Islands.
