FESTIVAL: The SXM Festival is back in force

After an edition aborted by the health crisis in 2020 and the absence of the festival on the island in 2021, Julian Arbia, organizer of the SXM Festival, shows great adaptability so that the 2022 edition is memorable. .

Lovers of electronic music, house and techno have already made an appointment from March 9 to 13, 2022, dates which will mark the return of the famous SXM Festival to Happy Bay. It is not the health measures that will put a veil on the determination and enthusiasm of Julian and his team, everything will be in place to respect the rules and ensure everyone's safety. Eager to resume the promotion of the festival as quickly as possible and especially of the destination of Saint Martin, the SXM Festival has joined forces with the Cercle, a group of French producers and DJs who have created a media platform for broadcasting live concerts that promotes unusual places where musical performances are organized, and some videos on Youtube have exceeded two million views. Latest to date, that of Blond's live DJ set: Ish, well-known SXM artist Festival and very involved in the environmental cause for having encouraged several cleaning sessions of Saint-Martin beaches. Filming took place on November 29 at the Rainforest Adventure, with breathtaking views from both sides of the island. This one-and-a-half hour event broadcast on social networks not only marks the entry of the Caribbean into the panel of destinations promoted by the Circle but also the advent of several video clips produced by the SXM Festival. In order to digitally promote the island and the festival itself, Julian surrounded himself with a film crew of around fifteen people, including four from Saint Martin (Donovan, Anthony, Yannick and Ricardo), to pose the turntables in strategic places in Saint Martin such as Fort Louis, representing heritage par excellence, the Baie Nettlé lagoon, a villa in Terres Basses emphasizing the high end or on a yacht crisscrossing the coast of the beaches of Baie Rouge, Baie Longue and Baie aux Prunes. For this last capsule, it is the artist UnderHer, DJ and producer for HBO & Netflix, who got behind the decks. The seven promotional videos will be available at the end of January, one per week, proving once again that the association of international music with local know-how establishes the SXM Festival as a benchmark festival. _VX
