A 12-year-old boy, attending fifth grade at Aline Hanson School located in Sandy-Ground, was the victim of an attempted kidnapping Thursday afternoon around 2 p.m. The driver who attempted to get the child into his vehicle is being actively sought.

Parents are called to vigilance in the Sandy-Ground sector! A child was indeed the victim of an attempted kidnapping Thursday afternoon at the end of his school. While the young schoolboy waited for his father to arrive, a driver tried to get the young boy into his vehicle. “I'll take you home,” he told the child. Faced with the latter's refusal, the man parked his car on the side of the road and pursued the child who managed to flee in the direction of Nettle Bay.

A few minutes later, the father finds his son on the side of the road and quickly realizes that something is wrong. "My son was very out of breath when he got into my car", he underlines, before adding "he immediately told me about the ordeal he had just experienced".

According to the descriptions provided by the child to the gendarmes (the parents lodged a complaint with the Concordia gendarmerie shortly after the facts, editor's note), his attacker, of European type, in his sixties, measuring about 1m, 75, the very clear eyes, bald, wearing a blue shirt and white shorts, was driving a Nissan Nicra or a Fiat 500 with a rounded roof registered in part French.

An investigation has been opened. _AF
