EVENT: Poetry to fight breast cancer

0

This Saturday, October 21, the Coffee & Soda Biscuits association chaired by Sabrina Charville is organizing a poetry Open Mic as part of Pink October.

To promote breast cancer prevention month and support the people who have led or are leading this fight against the disease, the association invites the public to discover around ten artists and poets during the event which will be held at Sandy's Too at La Savane from 17:30 p.m. to 20:30 p.m. Founded in 2017 by Sabrina Charville in memory of her grandmother, the Coffee & Soda Biscuits (CSB) association works to preserve Saint-Martin culture with boundless passion. After two particularly successful sessions, the third edition of “Nomads Pink October Open Mic”, for which entry is $10, promises an evening marked by sincerity and creativity with a common goal: raising awareness about breast cancer. Poets, rappers, singers and artists will use their voice and their talent to support this cause which has affected 61.214 women in France since January 1, 2023. From 17:30 p.m., poetry will be at the service of people affected by breast cancer. Tomorrow's artistic event will have the theme of courage, strength and creativity. In addition to the inspiring side and powerful words chanted with emotion, Sabrina Charville and the entire Coffee & Soda Biscuits team have many surprises in store for participants and lovers of poetry: African and Saint-Martin fashion show, stands of artisanal products, raffle and steelpan. Like several events organized in this month of pink October 2023, the “Nomads Pink October Open Mic” invites the public to wear a pink outfit, in support of the cause. _VX
