A conference-debate on the theme “Role of health actors around children with sickle cell disease and the family” will take place this evening, at 19 pm, at the media library at Concordia. The world day against this genetic disease - affecting the hemoglobin of red blood cells - took place last month. During this evening, several professionals will be present and will discuss different themes in turn. Doctor Louis Jeffry will open this event. Among the speakers, Doctor Merlet (general practitioner) who will talk about the alternative to codeine in the treatment in the office, and Doctor Noubou (emergency doctor) who will discuss the emergency care of children with sickle cell disease.
