The rector of Guadeloupe announced good news to the teaching teams of the two high schools of Saint-Martin during his visit to the island Monday, May 13.

“I had asked the Minister of National Education to find out how we could support these two high schools (the professional high school and the general and technological high school) following Irma and the educational organization. In fact all schools in Guadeloupe had already had their endowment for several weeks. The Minister took an exceptional decision in the context of the abolition of posts in the second degree, to create four teacher posts: two for vocational high school, two for general and technological high school. They are given the choice of assignment in terms of discipline where they need it, for better organization, ”explained Mostafa Fourar. "The will of the minister was above all to help these two teams, taking into account the post-Irma context, to organize remedial sessions, or reinforcement of this or that skill for the students most in difficulty" said Michel Sanz , the IA-DAASEN from the North Islands. “The counterpart, I announced it very clearly to the two teams: better results. I hope we can do it, ”concluded the rector.
