Chess: Steve Coupillet stands out at the Carousel

0

Last Sunday, the Carousel Topper's Rhum ice cream parlor in Simpson Bay hosted its 1st Chess tournament. Victory once again went to Yashwant Vaswani. But it was Steeve Coupillet who particularly distinguished himself by taking a fine 2nd place to the detriment of Jérémie Picarle after a frenzied tiebreak blitz.

Steeve is thus the pride of his trainer Jef Follner. Among the youngsters, the fight was also tight and it was Nathan Sheppard, another pupil of Jef, who won thanks to his victory over an adult. Next tournament on Sunday May 29, always  at the Carousel. Registration required at 0690551214. Thanks to the partners: Coral Telecom, Timeless Spirits, McDonalds, Crossfit, Kingtoy and Malongo.
