Water and sanitation: new action plan

0

Published in 2013, the interministerial report on the evaluation of water policy showed the difficulties linked to this resource in the Overseas Territories, including for our territory. Urgent action was needed to improve drinking water supply and sanitation infrastructure. It's done with the new government action plan - for the benefit of Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique, Reunion Island, Mayotte and Saint-Martin - launched by Ségolène Royal, Minister of the Environment, and George Pau- Langevin, Minister of Overseas Territories. The purpose of this system is to support communities, to promote investment and jobs. Improving drinking water services by promoting permanent access to quality water at a reasonable cost is one of the priorities.
