Decoration: The commander of the Northern Islands gendarmerie, Stephan Basso made a Knight in the National Order of Merit

A ceremony for the presentation of the National Order of Merit took place at the Bonne-Terre barracks, in Saint-Claude, Guadeloupe on Thursday, December 10, under the authority of General Thierry Renard, commander of the Guadeloupe gendarmerie.

This last  awarded the insignia of Knight in the National Order of Merit  to the squadron leaders Stephan BASSO, commander of the company of Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy and Hung TRAN-DAC, commander of the Departmental Road Safety Squadron.

As a reminder, the National Order of Merit is the second national order after the Legion of Honor. Its purpose is to reward “distinguished merits” and to encourage the country's living forces.
