Getting rid of our carcass island: a long-term job

A reader has sent this photo of vehicle carcasses, taken on the national road after Quartier d'Orléans towards Oyster Pond, to the media. A distressing spectacle. As a reminder, a treatment center for end-of-life vehicles (ELV) was inaugurated last February at the Grandes Cayes eco-site. Carcasses can now be recycled thanks to the partnership of the Collectivity, the Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME), Verde SXM and the eco-site. A job that takes time.
