Daniel Gibbs: “Our environment must be respected”

1

The preservation of the environment is one of the priorities of the president of the Community Daniel Gibbs. During his inauguration, he also mentioned his intention to set up an operation to clean up all the districts of the island.

During the last Territorial Council, the president mentioned the state of the island's beaches in the preamble to the plenary session, particularly “deplorable” after the Easter weekend. “The convivial moments (…) should not make us forget that the preservation of our environment, our living environment, is imperative, declared the president. We live off tourism and the waste littering our beaches the day after the holidays presents an image that is as unacceptable as it is dangerous for our economy. ” _EH

Regarding respect for the environment according to President GIBBS, I fully agree. It's really EVERYONE's business! It is not normal that the Territorial Police are obliged to take back certain “citizens”. The little equipment provided for this purpose is often vandalized, but let's be… respectful.
