The crowd was there last Tuesday to attend the official launch of the Mardis de Grand-Case scheduled for eight "Mardis" starting on February 5. The shopping street became pedestrian for the occasion swarmed with people while the terraces of bars, restaurants and lolos were crowded.
The prefect, Sylvie Feucher, the president of the Tourist Office, Valérie Damaseau, the organizing team around Chantal Vernusse and the loyal partners proceeded to the traditional cut of ribbon thus marking the opening of the 17th edition of Mardis de Grand -Case.
The crowd of great evenings (note: 3 people) was able to discover the numerous stands, craft market, original creations, without forgetting to taste the local gastronomy and the Creole cuisine offered by the many restaurateurs.
The parade with its glittery and colorful costumes and its two live bands went up the whole boulevard to the delight of tourists and residents who had all come to participate in this unmissable event on the French side.
The event is also an opportunity for the 80 artists and artisans to exhibit their works in the creative effervescence of this happy season. See you next Tuesday!
